This is the end of the journal of Robert Battersby Sr and his pioneering days in Canada in the early 1900s. Or rather the end of what will be included here. His journal includes some of the songs he wrote but there are no further details regarding his life after 1920 within the copy of his journal that I possess.
For anyone reading this, whether you are related or not, I hope it serves as a reminder of the struggles of our not so distant ancestors and the relative luxury we enjoy today.
